Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Ware is proudly located on Musley Hill, Ware, Hertfordshire (SG12 7NB). Our nursery enjoys a convenient position just a short distance from Ware town centre, making it easy for families across the SG12 area and surrounding communities to reach us.
We’re ideally placed for parents living or working in Ware, with excellent local transport links and nearby schools.
🌿 Big News: We Have an Allotment! 🌿
We are thrilled to announce that we are now the proud tenants of our very own nursery allotment!
Lately, the children have absolutely loved walking around the local allotments, spotting what’s growing, and marveling at nature. Their curiosity inspired us to take the plunge and secure a plot of our own.
We have a bit of hard work, digging, and prepping to do before we can start planting our first seeds—but we can’t wait to take the children along on this journey. Watch this space for updates, muddy boots, and future harvests! 🥕🥔

Recently our pre-schoolers took a trip to Hertford, they headed to Manic Ceramics to paint themselves some bowls. They had a picnic in Hartham Park, enjoyed a play in the sand and then got the train back to nursery.

This week during circle time, our pre-school children have been singing The Wheels on the Bus, this inspired them to create a bus during their woodwork session.
At the beginning of every woodworking session we go through our rules, the children are well versed in this and recalled them to Lacey.
The children used their hand eye coordination and motor skills to carefully hold the nail with one hand and used the hammer with their other hand. They carefully selected resources and used loose parts such as buttons as the wheels, and enjoyed decorating their bus once they had finished!

Our pre-schoolers braved the rain this morning for a nature walk, they collected some natural resources and used their creativity to make flower crowns.
They returned to nursery to proudly show off their creations and exclaimed that they were “forest kings and queens”.

Our under 2’s room provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where babies and toddlers can learn, explore, and grow at their own pace.
Our staff focus on building strong and secure relationships with each child and their families, helping them feel safe, secure, and confident throughout their day.
Each day is filled with exciting opportunities for exploration and development through a variety of age-appropriate activities. The children enjoy sensory play, messy play, time for books, music and movement sessions, creative activities, and outdoor exploration. These experiences help to support communication, physical development, social skills, and early curiosity about the world around them.
Our day includes time for play, rest, meals, and quiet moments to ensure every child feels comfortable and settled. Staff carefully plan activities around the children’s interests and developmental stages, encouraging independence and confidence in a fun and engaging way.
The children also enjoy daily trips and outings, including walks in the local community, visits to nearby parks, and outdoor adventures where they can explore nature and develop their understanding of the world around them. We also go to the library and buy different resources from the local shops.
